There is more to Black Friday deals than televisions and laptops. Travel companies join the sales excitement with spectacular discounts.

In between leftover turkey sandwiches and trips to the mall, why not take some time to search for a winter break or summer family vacation? There is a good chance that you will find a great deal over the long holiday weekend. Here is a list of popular sites that are offering amazing Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

Expedia is offering deals on hotels, flights, cruises, packages, and more. The Black Friday sale features 75% off select hotels. The savings are even better on Cyber Monday with 90% off select hotels when you book through the Expedia app. You can also earn double points all weekend by booking through the app. See all of the fabulous deals at Expedia's travel blog, Viewfinder.

Hotels.com is offering up to 99% off room bookings. Visit the Hotels.com website any time from midnight on November 23 through 11:59 pm on November 26. Each visitor will have an opportunity to scratch a coupon and receive 7%, 8%, 10%, or 99% off. The coupon can be used for any listing on the Hotels.com website. Go ahead and splurge on a grand resort in Thailand or visit grandma for the holidays.

If you need some Caribbean breezes in your life, CheapCaribbean is offering up to 70% off select destinations in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Mexico. You don't have to wait until Black Friday for this sale, it's on now and goes through November 26.

If you prefer Hawaii for sun and surf, United Airlines is offering big discounts from select U.S. cities to Kona. This deal is offered through Shermans Travel (one of my favorite deal sites) with prices starting at 336.60 r/t.

Looking for more flight deals? Don't waste time searching each airline's website. I recommend using Skyscanner because they maintain a list of deals from domestic and international carriers. Also, if you are undecided about your next adventure, you can search for deals by location or time of year.

This list represents a sample of deals that have been announced so far. There will be plenty more as the week goes on. In the meantime, I recommend researching the cost to travel to some destinations that interest you. That way, you won't hesitate to book a great deal when it hits your inbox, Twitter feed, or Facebook page.

Happy Thanksgiving, happy shopping, and happy travel deal hunting!
